Dr. Jorge Florindez Ullilen is a native of Peru. After graduating medical school in Nacional Universidad de San Marcos, he came to the USA in 2009-2012 to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut, a clinical affiliate of Yale University. Upon graduation, Dr. Florindez joined the Division of Hospital Medicine as a nocturnist in 2012, contributing to the medical education of Internal Medicine residents by providing supervision and bedside teaching to those residents on call overnight in the hospital. Dr. Florindez has an interest in medical student education, currently working on a project to enhance the experience of medical students on the internal medicine wards. He is concurrently pursuing his Masters of Science in Clinical and Translational Investigation degree to further enhance his skill set as an academic hospitalist. He is a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at University of Miami Hospital.
