Dr. Jayanth Sridhar was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He graduated top of his class from both the College of Arts and Sciences and the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. After spending one year as a medicine intern at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He subsequently graduated from an accredited two-year vitreoretinal surgery and diseases fellowship at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the completion of his fellowship Dr. Sridhar was awarded the William Tasman Outstanding Fellow Award. Dr. Sridhar has co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles in the fields of novel retinal imaging, age-related macular degeneration, and surgical technique advancement. In his free time he enjoys playing tennis and basketball, spending time with family, and cheering on our Canes, Heat, and Dolphins.
