Biografía

Born Cali -Colombia S.A in 1942.High School at Colegio Santa Librada followed by pre-Medical and Medical Education at the Escuela de Medicina of Universidad del Valle.Residence was done at the New York School of Psychiatry under the direction of Sandor Rado M.D.After Residence served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps with a rank of Major.After discharge from Active Duty joined -1969-Hillside Hospital in New York,which became the Psychiatric Department Of Long Island Jewish Medical Center.Dr Mowerman was a full staff member from October 1969  until January of 2006.During his tenure he served as Assistant Director for Day Hospital Services,As Unit Chief of many of the In-Patient Units and  as a Consulting Senior Attending  for the last 15 years of his 36 years association.In 1971 he joined as Assistant professor in the newly established Stony Brook Medical School-part of  the State of New York School system.In 1989 he became an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine until his appointment in 2006 to the Miller Medical School in 2006.
